Anger is one of the greatest tools God uses to shape our sanctification in Him. - says Chip Ingram in his series called, Overcoming the Emotions that Destroy.
He talks about steps to go through while angry..
A- acknowledge your anger.
B- backtrack to the first motion (why am I angry)
C- consider the cause of who or what made you angry
I am angry about a lot of things tonight, angry about not feeling like a 17 year old and instead a 77 year old, angry that I have to go into the hospital for cancer treatment that people don't usually find until they're in their 20s. I am angry that I can't drive, see my boyfriend or people called my phone to harrass me tonight. So yes, Chip Ingram, tonight I am furious. How to deal with anger, hmm. I think Chip is right about one thing, God is trying to get my attention. These past months I have been trying to focus of building others up. While not letting God have his time in my life. Like it just clicked. Everything has a purpose, everything has meaning, so maybe just maybe my feelings of lonliness and disapointment are to draw me into the one who loves me most. Jesus Christ died to save me. Now instead of focusing completely on other people, and their needs and wants totally I need to focus on asking God, what can I do for you, my Lord?
